The Season 2 of The Bridgertons warms up on Netflix. And what better date than Valentine’s Day to prove it, in which the ‘streaming’ service has taken the opportunity to celebrate a world event for fans that have included the reflections of the author of the literary saga on which the story is based, Julia Quinn, as well as part of its cast, and in which a new ‘teaser’ -the longest to date-, an official poster and some unpublished images have come to light. A true delight for fans of romantic fiction, who are already counting down the days for the long-awaited debut of the new episodes on March 25 in full on the platform.
Season 2 of The Bridgertons
That’s how clear the official poster for the new episodes of Season 2 of The Bridgertons is, which, like the second novel in Quinn’s literary saga, explores the relationship between Anthony Bridgerton ( Jonathan Bailey ) and his unexpected lover: a young woman named Kate Sharma ( Simone Ashley ) who has just arrived from India with her mother and sister and with whom the attraction is immediate.
However, the long-awaited love story that fans eagerly awaited will not be without controversy -and bait for Lady Whistledown-since the real suitor of the eldest of the Season 2 of The Bridgertons is not Kate, but Edwina ( Charithra Chandran ), her younger sister.
Driven by a duty to uphold his family’s name, Anthony Bridgerton will be looking for his wife among this social season’s debutantes when he sparks with someone he didn’t expect.
And while the young man courts Edwina and Kate to prepare to prevent him from marrying her sister out of interest, Kate and Anthony end up getting too close. A forbidden passion that complicates things for both of them will end up driving them crazy with love.
Likewise, the other great protagonist of the ‘teaser’ trailer just out of the oven on Netflix is Lady Whistledown, who was unmasked in the first season, but whose identity is still unknown to all the characters in the series.
Even with Eloise and Queen Charlotte hot on her heels, Penelope Featherington ( Nicola Coughlan ) will be even more empowered than ever and does not hesitate to sharpen her knives to face this new social season, ready to continue uncovering the miseries of whoever crosses her path. In his way with his abusive posts.
Produced by Shondaland for Netflix and under the baton of Chris Van Dusen as ‘showrunner’ and head of the adaptation, The Season 2 of The Bridgertons will also feature in its cast for season 2 most of the faces of the new season: Phoebe Dynevor (Daphne Basset ), Adjoa Andoh (as Lady Danbury), Luke Newton (Colin Bridgerton), Golda Rosheuvel (Queen Charlotte), Luke Thompson (Benedict Bridgerton), Claudia Jessie (Eloise Bridgerton) and many more.
Likewise, in this new stage, some new faces are incorporated, such as that of the Sharma sisters, but also those of Shelley Conn (Mary Sharma), Calam Lynch (Theo Sharpe) and Rupert Young (Jack), among others. You can learn more about them below.
Meanwhile, we count down the days for the return of The Season 2 of The Bridgertons, which we remind you will premiere its second season on March 25, 2022, in full on Netflix.
