Through My Window is now on Netflix, and, as expected, it has been a real success on the platform. The romantic film that adapts the novel by Ariana Godoy has swept subscribers and has been placed in the Top 10 -currently below Café con aroma de Mujer, which has remained unchanged for weeks-. Seeing the level of expectation around the romance of Raquel ( Clara Galle ) and Ares ( Julio Peña ), surely more than one is wondering if there will be a second part. After all, it comes from a literary trilogy. What do we know about it? Well, honestly, not much.
Since Through my window was released this February 4, the news about its continuation is still kept in a drawer in the Netflix offices. It’s all assumptions and theories and, if you want to embark on this world of the Hidalgo, here we review with you everything (little) we know about a possible sequel so far.
Will ‘Through My Window’ has a second part.
At the moment, a second part of Through my window has not been confirmed, but nobody would be surprised if the news arrived in the coming weeks. Netflix has launched to make this project with a long-term view. Otherwise, why adapt a trilogy about a family? Many stories can come out of here, and the streaming platform knows it.
Seeing the success of its premiere, there is a good chance that the streaming company will soon announce that Through You will also hit the screen .
What is the Second part? ‘Through You’?
If you loved the love story between Ares and Raquel, we’re sorry to tell you that Through You, the trilogy’s second book, tells the story of the relationship between Artemis ( Eric Masip ) and Claudia ( Emilia Lazo ). It happens simultaneously with Through my window, and, for that reason, Ares and Raquel are not together yet.
In Through You, we get to know better how Artemis, the eldest of the Hidalgo, falls in love with Claudia, the daughter of the servicewoman who works in the family. She has been in her house all her life, and, for him, there has always been a relationship that went beyond affection. As an adult, she begins to work for the Hidalgos, takes care of her mother and attends night classes at the university. She has no time for anything, let alone relationships. Artemis has spent 5 years away from home studying for a career, and his return home will uncover old wounds.
What do the actors think about the second part of Through my window?
EP Updates asked the actors what would happen in the future with their characters, and they all said the same thing: it all depends on the fans’ response. “That is in the hands of the fans and the reception the film has,” says Hugo Arbués, who plays Apolo in the film. His partner in fiction, Guillermo Lasheras, adds: “It may have continuity, now it has to become a reality, and that depends on how the film goes.”
As Eric Masip comments, they are interested in the saga moving forward. “There is plenty of material to do more, so it depends on the fans. We are the first ones who would like to continue telling the story,” says the actor, while his partner in fiction, Emilia Lazo, laughs: “Until we will be 40 years old”.
